BalanceTrackr (RegnskApp) is a personal finance management application that respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection and Storage

• All your financial data (accounts, transactions, loans) is stored locally on your device
• We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your financial information on external servers
• No personal information is shared with third parties
• The app does not require an internet connection to function

Data Usage

The app uses your data to:

• Display your account balances and transactions
• Calculate loan payments and schedules
• Show financial statistics and charts
• Manage recurring transactions

Local Storage

• All data is stored securely on your device using SwiftData
• Data remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to delete it
• You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app

Biometric Authentication

• The app supports device-level security through Face ID/Touch ID
• Biometric authentication can be enabled through iOS system settings (press and hold the app icon and select "Require Face ID"/"Require Touch ID")
• Authentication data is managed by iOS and never accessed by BalanceTrackr
• No biometric data is collected or stored by the app

Data Export and Import

• You can export your data to a secure file (.regnskappdata format) for backup purposes
• You have control over what data gets exported (accounts, transactions, categories, loans, settings)
• Exported files are stored locally and not automatically uploaded anywhere
• You can import your data from previously exported files to restore information or transfer to a new device
• All data transfers are performed manually by you, the user

Language and Currency Settings

• Your language and currency preferences are stored locally
• These settings are used only to format the display of information in the app

Security

• The app supports device-level security through Face ID/Touch ID
• No external authentication is required
• No data is transmitted outside your device
• We implement best practices for secure local data storage
• Your financial data is encrypted at the device level by iOS

Updates and Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app's latest version.
